The association's target is to intensively co-operate with its member companies offering them individual services of any kind within the VDMA network and integrating at the same time their interests into common activities like

• Standardization
• Opening and development of markets
• Offering an information platform
• International exhibition policy
• Supporting group-participations on international exhibitions
• Patronage of GIFA, the world leading exhibition for foundry technology
• Supporting marketing activities (i.e. Benchmarking)
• Statistical analysis and forecasting
• Conducting the General Secretariat of CEMAFON, the European Committee for Materials and Products for Foundries.

• Pattern and die
• Machinery and plants for moulding material preparation and sand reclamation
