The name MAGMA stands for robust and innovative casting solutions as well as a strong partnership with the metal casting industry. By combining Casting process knowledge with simulation competence, MAGMA partners with our customers to use our expertise to their advantage in the profitable optimization of castings and casting processes. The core product is the modularly structured simulation software MAGMASOFT®. It is a comprehensive simulation tool for the technological and quality focused production of castings in all processes and cast materials worldwide. MAGMASOFT® stands for the prediction of the entire cast component quality and process chain by providing a better understanding of mold filling, solidification and cooling, mechanical properties, thermal stresses and distortion. MAGMASOFT® increases profits by reducing and eliminating costs throughout the entire casting process chain. From the first concepts, through component design, casting layout and prototypes up to process optimization, robust casting and quality assurance, advantages can be realized. The software supports the user in the layout of the pattern, the determination of melting practice and casting methoding through to mold making, heat treatment, and finishing.
